Manila: MCS Enterprises, Inc., 1966 With a handwritten letter in back "In December 1972 - Dr. Scott was taken into custody by the Military Regime and confined without trial in Ft Santiago for several months. He insisted that he would not be tried in any court except a Philippine Court - He was charged with 1 - being a Communist agitator 2. being a radical teacher, 3 - being a leader of a secessionist group in the Islands. In June he was acquitted and released and given permission to stay & live in Sagada, but he has been forbidden to teach. He did not wish to be deported or to return to the States to live. He has too many friends in the Islands. Sister Lioba CSM, 815 2n Ave -".
