Softcover, original 1926 publication with original wraps - not a modern reprint or rebound library copy. Front and rear cover contains the name stamp of F. C. Schrader. Frank Charles Schrader (1860-1944) of Harvard and the United States Geological Survey (USGS) was a well-known and respected American geologist, mineralogist, and entomologist, and author. He was known throughout the west as the prospector's friend and was also one of the first federal geologists to explore Alaska. Exterior shows some spotting and staining but shows only minor wear. The reason for the low condition grade is because there are dampstains present on a good portion of the interior pages, otherwise book would grade as a VG to VG plus. Paper is toned due to age and there are no issues other than the dampstains. Book is still very usable and all foldout maps and charts…
