London, UK: University Tutorial Press, 1932. 3rd Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Third edition, viii, 468pp. Blue cloth-covered boards; blind embossed titles on front, gilt titles on spine; numerous black and white illustrations, diagrams and tables throughout the text. 8vo. Lightly rubbed spine ends, corners rubbed and rounded, slight bump to top edge of boards, small ripple on front cover. Text block edges dusty and tanned. Endpapers and prelims starting to fox and tan. Internally pages are lightly tanned at the margins otherwise neat, clean, bright and tight. Dust jacket has moderate shelf wear, soiling to spine, chipping to edges, tear to front edge, mirrors book damage. The object of this book is to meet the need of a good textbook on Continuous Current Engineering concerned mainly with engineering practice, but containing a sufficient amount of electrical science to form the necessary theoretical basis. In this third edition, more space has been devoted to tungsten filament lamps, particularly the gas-filled type.
