About This Item
Sydney, Wahroonga: Virginia Hollister & Kathrin McMiles, 1988. 1st ed.. Paperback quarto, very good condition, colour text-photos, colour & black & white text-photos, crease top edge front cover, minor edgewear, top & bottom edges slightly marked. 72 pp. This book complements the art works collected for exhibition at the fifth National Ceramics Conference in Sydney during May 1988. The aim has been to present the work of those ceramicists who have been committed to working with the figure in three dimensions for some time, and of others who have more recently turned to this genre to explore their personal and political concerns. Each artist has reflected on his or her motivation and sources of inspiration, and each has provided technical notes about construction and firing methods.
