About This Item

First Edition/First Printing with no mention of subsequent printings; A Near Fine book in a Near Fine price clipped dust jacket. An outstanding copy of this seminal work by the Nobel Prize winner; a treatise on liberty being a prerequisite for wealth and growth; Margaret Thatcher reportedly banged a copy of this book on her desk before Parliament saying "This is what we believe!" This book quite scarce in the first printing, particularly in this condition. This copy is in near fine condition with a square, tight binding, bright gold lettering over brown boards, and clean white pages throughout free from markings; the book does show some mild rubbing at the spine ends and corners, else fine. Housed in a clean, crisp, and bright near fine dust jacket that shows some light rubbing and chipping to the spine ends and corners, a couple of tiny spots to the front panel, and some light creasing to the top of the back panel and the front lower corner. Overall, a better than most copy, highly presentable and collectible; Not remaindered, not ex-library; in a protective Mylar cover and will ship in a sturdy box.
