About This Item
London: Constable, 1997. First Edition . Hardcover. Very Good +/Very Good +. The interior of the book is crisp and clean, showing no marks or wear. The black cover is fresh, showing a light bump to the top of the spine, but no wear else. The silver gilt spine lettering is still bright. The dust jacket is not price-clipped, and shows little or no wear. The jacket is now in a protective plastic cover, and looks most attractive. Synopsis: "Pemberton is first on the scene when a young man loses control of his bright red sports car and crashes into a ditch. As Pemberton and his fellow passengers reach the wreck of the car, the driver is still alive -- just. And when the injured man sees that Mark Pemberton is accompanied by a priest he becomes extremely agitated. With his dying breath, the driver confesses to a murder".
