Cover ratherworn: gilt lettering is mostly worn off the spine though is only a little worn on the front cover, fabric on corners and top & bottom of spine is worn but not quite worn through; binding is split at the front inner hinge and in the bibliography, but is fairly tight and no pages are loose or lost. Front endpapers are quite marked in old pen and pencil and the text has occasional checkmarks.
