About This Item

London: Routledge & Kegan Paul, 1960. 2nd Imp. (1st -1958) . Red Cloth. VG/Good+. 12.5 Cm x 19 .0 Cm. viii+166; dated sig.of eminent historian of science R.M.Young top fr.free endpaper plus his pencilled marks/comments up to p.9, otherwise clean, tight and unmakred in bright unworn covers; unclipped jacket generally sound but top edge sl.rubbed and back dusty , edge-browned and sl.chipped on bottom edge by outer corner, also a thin black line across lower edge. Very acceptable copy of this classic monograph, attacking grand theorising in Psychology, in the 'Studies in Philosophical Psychology' series. This 2nd imp.preferable to 1st by virtue of an added prefaratory page by author answering some criticisms (this is titled 'Preface to Second Edition', though verso t.p.calls it an 'impression').
