Published Caracas, Venezuela: Ediciones de la Presidencia de La República / Editorial Arte, 1978. Oblong folio, 12 1/4" x 10", unpaginated, illustrated with 232 black and white photographs of Thea Segall. Bound in blind embossed black leatherette, pictorial endpapers. "Thea Segall came to Venezuela to take pictures in the tropical light and ended up capturing the country's ancestral culture in images. The Romanian artist, who received the National Photography Award in 2003, understood the importance of preserving a memory for the Venezuelan nation."
