Crisp, clean and bright interiors, two minor corner bumps only, no markings. Approx. 5.75" by 8.25, 249 pages, frontispiece, fold-out letter, many illustrations, appendices and bibliography. Unclipped DJ has edge wear, moderate chipping, short tears. This book is a collection of a series of articles about the Comte de St. Germain first printed in the Theosophical Review in 1887, and first printed in this form in 1912. The Rosicrucians recognized him as an Alchemist. He frequently attended Secret Mystical Societies' Meetings and Freemasonry Assemblies.
