Boards rather rubbed with exposure at corners and minor fraying at spine ends, dampstain to rear cover not bleeding into textblock, contemporary gift inscription to front free endpaper, else Good or better, internally clean and sound. An example of the armorial bookplate of British businessman Sir J. Blundell Maple (1843-1926) laid in.

Collection of the latest British bespoke bookplates of 1897, many featuring exquisite Art Deco designs by Theodore Spicer Simson, Frank Bramley, and E. Bengough Ricketts, of the Ex-Libris Society.
