Approx. 10'', full leather binding with 5 slightly raised bands on spine. Binding worn (see pictures), front boards detached inside, marbled endpapers. 926pp with 41 engraved illustrations, including the Chandos portrait of Shakespeare as the frontispiece. Acceptable copy only, some foxing, grubbiness & occasional loose pages. Ex reference library with number on reverse of title page, single stamp on front endpapers & title page. No other obvious library markings. Contemporary handwritten note of two births on front endpapers, similar note on rear endpapers. ***Over 1 kg & may require additional overseas postage***
