Original blue buckram & blue papered boards, with paper spine label. Spine slightly sunned with minor mark. Overall, very good and sound. The plays were edited by Bonamy Dobree, and the letters by Geoffrey Webb.

The Nonesuch Press, Bloomsbury, London 1927. Limited Edition. 4 vols. Small 4to. The Plays edited by Bonamy Dobrée; The Letters edited by Geoffrey Webb. One of 1300 sets of four volumes on machine made paper numbered 111-1410. This set is # 779. Slight discoloration to the endpapers, otherwise a clean bright unmarked set in the publisher's mid-blue boards with toning buckram spines with printed paper spine labels. One of the Restoration's most skilful dramatists, Vanbrugh was also one of the country's greatest architects; his best known buildings being Blenheim Palace and Castle Howard. He also designed the Haymarket Theatre for the production of his own plays.
