About This Item
Houghton Mifflin and Co., 1895. Hardcover. Very Good. Three quarter Tan Leather with marbled boards and end-papers. TEG., still bright. Extremities are gently worn, corners barely bumped. Spine leather has 5 raised bands, two leather gilt titles - with top one with authors name very scraped, leaving partial letters visible. Front inner hinge overextended, but still a very tight text block. Frontis with tissue guard in place. A previous owners name on blank front free end-paper, dated 1896, NO other writing/markings at all - a very clean volume. Double columned throughout. Several foredge margins appear to have been roughly opened, and several pages still not 'opened'. A fabulous copy; it is priced to reflect its imperfections. 1033 pages.
