Stated Third impression of Revised Edition, Feb., 1937 (revision was 1935); 993 pages, 8.5 x 5.5"". Special red cloth & half-leather binding- leather corners & spine w/ 5 raised ribs; gilt spine lettering, boxing & violin motif; gilt lining to corner & spine edges. Gilt top edge of text block, rough-cut side & bottom edges. Binding is tight, bright & square w/ light rubbing, trace of soil; light edge wear to spine & to corner tips. ALL gilt is bright, crisp & intact. NO bumps, scuffs or sun discolor. Copy displays very well. Heavy red (linen?) endpapers are unmarred. Gift note (small & neatly written) dated 12-25-38, on 1st blank page. Frontis & text are tight, clean & unmarked. Handsome, well preserved copy.
