Random House, 1938. Hardcover. Acceptable. BOTH VOLUMES. Tan cloth boards are dirty and stained. Worn cloth and bumped head and heel of spine. The red and gold titling on spine has cracked and faded. Corner tips are dented and cloth covering is wearing. Text blocks have smudging, and thumbprint markings on lower edges of text block. Pages lightly age-toned to about the color of a manila folder. Volume one has split between FFE and fly-leaf page. The "General Introduction" section of volume one is heavily marked in blue ball point pen. These volumes remain in great reading condition, despite being ragged outwardly. 1185 pages in volume one (not counting initial introduction) and volume 2 has 1,236 page, including glossary.
