Slight rubbing to binding, a small closed tear to the top of the title page, neatly repaired, not affecting text, title page and the 3 plates of tackle slightly dusty, occasional pale foxing to text and margins of plates, the 8 pages of index foxed, heavy on last 2 leaves, a small old printed label on W. Ryland (11 engraved illustrations are by William W. Ryland) pasted on first blank endpaper with previous owner's pencil notes below, otherwise a very good copy. See: Rodolphe L.
