About This Item
London: Bloomsbury Books [1 870630 75 0] 1988. (hardcover) 224pp. Near fine in fine dust jacket. 8vo. First published in 1655, this classic of angling, a celebration of the spirit of fishing in prose and verse, was originally illustrated by Arthur Racham in 1931. Walton continued to add to the text for 25 years after its initial publication. There has been a small spot white-out painted to the front free endpaper, presumed to conceal personal information. Includes 12 full colour plates, as well as black and white line drawings. Else is fine, almost as new. Lovely copy..
