We have seen this pamphlet in two versions; this one with a Cleveland union bug on the cover has smudgier photo portraits (the version with a New York union bug has better quality photos).

Ink and pencil marks noted. Photos of the two candidates are on the cover. William Z. Foster (February 25, 1881-September 1, 1961) was a radical American labor organizer and Communist politician, whose career included serving as General Secretary of the Communist Party USA from 1945 to 1957. He was previously a member of the Socialist Party of America and the Industrial Workers of the World, leading the drive to organize the packinghouse industry during WWI and the steel strike of 1919. Foster began to lose power within the Party, due to his imprisonment during the Party's convention in 1930 and his continuing differences with others over trade union policies.
