Moderate tanning to pages with heavier tanning to pastedowns and endpapers. Stickers and pencil inscriptions to front pastedown and endpaper and visible foxing and tanning to text block edges. Binding is loose. Boards have minor rubbing and light bumping to corners. Fair crushing to spine ends. Unclipped jacket with visible edge wear and light rubbing. Visible sunning to spine and splitting to joints. There is visible tearing to corners, edges and spine ends and heavier foxing to interior.

Name plate and name and date in ink to front free-endpaper. Foxing to textblock. Dustwrapper is slightly grubby and edge rubbed. Light damp stains to verso of wrapper spine.

Hardcover. 1st Edition. hardback, octavo, a very good tightly bound copy, brief gift inscription to a previous owner at the head of the front free endpaper but no other markings to the volume, the dust jacket has a small loss to the head of the spine and another to the front panel, illustrated in both colour and b&w, xvii + 366pp (Bernhard & Loe NN45A).

DJ is badly torn at most edges. Fair DJ/Very Good book.
