About This Item

New York: Voters Alliance for Americans of German Ancestry, 1946. An introductory pamphlet issued by the newly-formed Voters Alliance for Americans of German Ancestry, a post-war German-American organization established to fight "the NEW DEAL INTERNATIONALISM" responsible for America's involvement in WWII. The pamphlet outlines the group's aims and includes a long quote by Otto L. Fricke, a Cleveland attorney active in many German-American organizations. The work is signed by The Managing Committee, which included Otto Bochow, Eugene Brand, Frederick Drager, Conrad Grieb, and Emil Russ. Grieg was the author of the widely disseminated book, Uncovering the Forces of War (1947).

The Voters Alliance was one of a number of post-war, German-American groups who fought against the Morgenthau Plan, glossed over Nazi Germany's complicity in WWII, and subtly, and not-so subtly, blamed the Jews for America's involvement in the war. The group operated until approximately 1949 when some members, including its then president, A. O. Tittmann, became involved with the newly formed National Renaissance Party. They appear briefly in John Roy Carlson's The Plotters (1946). See pp. 38-40.

A single pulp sheet folded in fours (eight panels). Browning to cheap paper, else Fine. Two copies found in OCLC at German institutions. Scarce.
