Cambridge: William Dillingham, 1657. 1st. HB. Full contemporary blind ruled leather, 5 raised bands on spine, folio (10.5x7), xii, 209, ii (addendum). With half-title, frontis portrait of Sir Horace Vere (lacking other two portraits, as called for), and including double page plates of map of Ostende, action at Turnhoult, map of Cadez, map of the Low Countries, and Vere's Tomb at Westminister. Old paper repair top corner of ffep, small piece of bottom corner missing page115, not affecting text. Owners name front paste-down, no other marks in book. A nice, wide margined copy, text in ruled border. Covers show edge wear, scuffing, joints cracked about 2 inches at top of spine. Includes "An account of the last charge at Newport battel, by Sir John Ogle," and "Sir Francis Vere his parlie at Ostend, written by Sir John Ogle there present": p. 106-117, 143-178, and "Praelium Nuportanum rerum fide tradebat Is. Dorislaus", p. 179-209. Book condition Good+.
