Diane Di Prima's first book of poetry (This Kind of Bird Flies Backward) was published by Totem Press in 1958 and she has published nearly four dozen books since then. She is considered a bridge figure between the Beat poets and later poetic movements as well as between East and West Coast American literary figures and movements.

This broadside is inscribed by Diane Di Prima to Bob Wilson of the Phoenix Book Shop, "Bob - Happy Thanksgiving! Diane".
