Unique to this book are keyed drawings by Henri Simoni, Robert Dumas, and L. Gassier of the more important ships, showing the locations and shapes of systems that are merely listed in other publications. Some of the many new drawings in this edition include detailed plans for the new French nuclear-powered aircraft carrier, the Soviet Sovremennyy and Udaloy destroyer classes, the new Turkish MEKO 200-class frigates, and the three versions of the Royal Navy's Type22 guided-missile frigate.
