Chatto & Windus, 1923. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1923. New impression. 262 pages. No dust jacket. This is an ex-Library book. Brown illustrated cloth with gilt titles to spine. Expected library inserts, stamps and inscriptions. Illustrated by Yoshio Markino. Introduction by Douglas Sladen. Pages have deckled lower edges. Pages have slight foxing, tanning and minor thumbing. Foxing more noticeable towards the start and end of the book. Gutters cracked with exposed netting. Text block edges tanned and rather scratched. A few dog-eared corners. Boards have some edge wear, with heavy bumping and fraying to corners, while spine ends are heavily crushed and frayed. Rather scratched, rubbed and marked overall. Spine is noticeably sunned with a few droplet marks. Gilt is bright. Boards are slightly bowed.
