Mild to moderate foxing, mostly only on pages closest to covers. Mild ink smudging on some pages; some writing on feps; a couple page have small rips.. Burgundy cloth with gray lettering on spine. 641 total pp (334 pp. + 307 pp). 867 BW plates. Title page states: New and greatly enlarged edition; with eight hundred and sixty-seven illustrations of representative pieces. Vol. I has an eighteen-page introduction followed by the following chapters: Chests, Chests of Drawers, Cupboards and Sideboards, Desks and Scrutories, Looking-Glasses. Vol. II has the following chapters: Chairs; Settees, Couches and Sofas; Tables; Bedsteads; and Clocks. The profuse illustrations add a great deal to this excellent reference.
