About This Item
This is an original issue of "COLLIER'S" Magazine - The National Weekly from July 8, 1905. The highlight of this issue is the front cover illustration by MAXFIELD PARRISH. In addition, the illustration at the beginning of the article titled "What the World is Doing" may have been illustrated by Parrish as well (the illustrator is not named, though the illustration appears to be in his style). The issue is complete with both covers and all pages. It contains both fiction and non-fiction pieces, news bits, poems, and numerous illustrated advertisements (including Cream of Wheat, Cadillac, Shredded Wheat, and Schlitz Beer).
Condition:
A piece at the bottom-left corner of the front cover has torn away. Both covers and all pages are attached. Small tears at the front along the inner edge of the inside front cover. The back cover has a couple small pieces missing at the top edge. Some random pages have small tears at the outer and/or top edges (including both covers). The pages are generally clean with an occasional light smudge here and there. Overall the issue is in Fair condition due to the missing cover piece.
