Alexander shows the reader the wide array of depictions of locomotives, often in the form of household objets d'art. With over 150 illustrations in black & white and 44 in color. --- In olive paper-covered boards backed in red-orange cloth, with spine titling in black. Dust jacket with color image of a scale model of the steam engine "Phantom" and tender. --- A clean, bright, tightly-bound copy, lacking notable damages. Bright jacket also in great shape; wrapped in removable archival mylar protector.; Small Quarto - 9 to 11 in. tall; (10), 197 pages .
