New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1887. First edition. Cloth. Very Good. 10" by 7.5". None. A limited edition collection of letters of William Makepeace Thackeray. First edition. This edition is limited to 500 copies, of which this is no. 256. Highly illustrated throughout. Includes portrait frontispiece. Various letters of William Makepeace Thackeray, a British novelist, author and illustrator. Best known for his satirical works, particularly Vanity Fair (1848) and The Luck of Barry Lyndon (1844). In the original green quarter cloth binding. Externally, very smart with minor shelf wear and the odd small mark to the board. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean. Scattered spotting predominantly to the first and last pages. Previous owner's bookplate to front pastedown. Very Good
