Preface an introduction by author, price guide, photo credits, bibliography, index of makers and index of marks. Chocolate brown coloured and pages. The text is illustrated with both colour and black-and-white photographs. 1/4 brown coloured cloth covered back strip with gilt coloured titles. 3/4 mustard coloured boards. Colour photographic dustwrapper with gold and white coloured titles to the front panel and back strip. A guide for the doll collector, for the German variety, giving the major manufacturers and their products, along with an explanation of materials used, manufacturing runs, most popular dolls etc. A little rubbing of the back strip edges and bumping of the top book corners. Age toning of the textblock edges. Some insect nibbles to the lower edge of the rear panel. A little rubbing of the dustwrapper edges and panels with some yellowing of the rear panel.
