London: A. & C. Black, 1897. Hardcover. Good. Subtitled on Half-Title: "Tales and Romances." Dark blue cloth with gilt titling and elaborate decoration on spine, top text block edge is gilt, leading and lower edges untrimmed which has resulted in a few uncut pages, black end papers, red titling and elaborate black decorative border on title page, 474 pages, four pages of publisher's advertising at back. Corners, edges and spine ends have wear, cover has light shelf wear, gilt on top edge is bright, other edges darkened, lower edge has some discolouration, lower corners bumped, upper rear hinge lightly cracked at both ends, first free end paper has some tiny black marks and a cracked hinge, pages 240 to 250 have some stains near top edge, occasional other small marks in text, page edges slightly darkened. This is a handsome volume. Shipping charges are calculated for a standard parcel under 1 kg. Additional charges will apply for heavier shipments, but not until the customer agrees.
