New York: The Macmillan Company, 1951. Hardcover. Fine/Very Good. First American edition (using sheets printed in the United States; Abbott A10. b1--preceded by an issue using the British sheets, distributed in the form of review copies only). Blue cloth with gilt spine. Fine in a very good dust jacket with a lightly toned spine, a couple short tears, and a faint stain on the rear panel. Errata slip laid in. From the collection of Erich Itor and Frida Kahn with their ownership stamp on the title page. Erich was a German composer of Jewish descent who emigrated to the United States in 1941 with his wife Frida, a music teacher and translator.
