New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1948. xxiii, 277 pages. Includes a preface and a personal memoir by the editor, Allen Tate. There is light rubbing to edges of cover, light tanning all edges,light foxing to pastedown endpapers, and one corner is lightly bumped. Dust jacket has a 1.5 " by 6" piece missing from front panel, taking out much of the title. Jacket has minor rubbing and tanning, minor chipping to head of spine, and several small closed tears to top edge of back panel. Nicer than it sounds--a tight book in dustjacket protected by mylar sleeve. . First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Fair. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Hardcover.
