First edition, first printing (full number line). Tan cloth boards with dark gray spine. Faint corner wear. Interior is clean and unmarked. Dust jacket rubbed; shows some edge wear, a couple very small chips and a few short closed tears; not price clipped. DJ in archival sleeve. 516 pp. 9 x 6 inches. Howard Nemerov (1920-1991) was awarded both the Pulitzer Prize for Poetry and the National Book Award for Poetry for this volume of his collected poems. He was the Poet Laureate Consultant in Poetry to the Library of Congress from 1963 to 1964 and again from 1988 to 1990.
