East Rutherford: Oxford University Press, 1976 First printing of the first edition, first issue. Winner of the National Book Award in 1977. Signed and inscribed by Richard Eberhart to "Jim and Margot / with / affection, / Dick / Brown December1984 p.308." On page 308, Eberhart edited the missing word, "summer" in the margin along with his initials, "R. E." Book in fine condition; dust jacket with toning to spine, rubbing to center spine with an opened tear, a closed tear to upper front cover, and mild edge wear. Notable awards: Bollingen Prize for Poetry (1962), the Pulitzer Prize for Poetry (1966), and the National Book Award for this volume of poetry (1977).
