It is a famous work in part because, though non-fiction, it reads like a novel. A Modern Library edition in dust jacket design very much like the original Random House first edition. --- In Toledano spine 13 / violet cloth / silver spine titling / ml device blindstamped to front cover / orange & yellow Fujita endpapers / jacket style n, verso is blank. Interior bears 1965 date but likely published c.1968. ML #48.4. --- A clean, tightly-bound, sound copy with unmarked interior, though with publisher/distributor rubberstamping to front free endpaper. Fair-only, unclipped dust jacket ($2.45) with several tape-repaired tears and chipping to extremities & dampstains, else mostly intact, bright and wrapped in new removable archival mylar protector.; 12mo - 7 to 7-1/2 in. tall; [8], 344 pages .
Synopsis
In Cold Blood is a nonfiction book by American author Truman Capote. The book details the brutal 1959 murders of Herbert Clutter, a wealthy farmer from Holcomb, Kansas, and his wife and two of their children. When Capote learned of the quadruple murder before the killers were captured, he decided to travel to Kansas and write about the crime.
