About This Item
Paris: Socit D'ditons Modernes Parisienne, 1950. Good. Folio (31.7 x 24cm), pp. [2], 48, [2], amply illustrated with colour and b/w photographs and adverts. In French. Textured and illustrated card boards, blocked in green, lettered in red. Illustrated endpapers with b/w adverts. Grubby and rubbed, spine fragile and chipped, extremities bruised and worn. Title and final page grubby, a few fox spots, inscribed in blue pen to title page: "Dear Paul./ From Mummy & Daddy. Easter 1950/ with Love.", rear hinge starting, but binding firm. Else, clean. Good. One wonders and hopes this Easter gift from liberal mid-twentieth century parents led to a career as a coiffeur for Paul.
