About This Item

London: William Heinemann, 2005. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Fine/As New. Black cloth with gilt sp. lettering, pristine. 336 pp. + 4 blank leaves before end-paper, 8 pp; ill. plates in central block ex-pagination; technically this is As New' but edges tanning throughout presumably due to wood-pulp paper used, which was pretty disgraceful of such a reputable publisher as Heinemann in 2005! I hope the author has complained. An excellent social history which deserved better. 14 cm x 19.5 cm
