About This Item

An interesting source of Soviet architecture 1960-70s. Decree "On the elimination of excesses in design and construction" (1955) put the end ща architectural style of Stalin's empire. In the 1960s and 1970s, a new style of architecture developed - simple, economical, based on a new industry and expressing the capabilities of modern technology. An important object of this period is the CMEA building in Moscow (1963-1970, architects M.V. Posokhin, A.A.Mndoyants, V.A. Svirsky, engineers V.I.Kuzmin, Yu. Ratskevich, S. Shkolnikov), which was considered "one of the most expressive architectural structures of recent times." The building of CMEA (Council of Mutual Economic Assistance) is a unique project of the 1960s, the people called this monumental structure "The Book". The presented book covers all the stages of creating a project: design, construction, engineering communications and interior design, up to chandeliers and furniture. In the publisher's illustrated dust jacket and fabric cover. Small scuffs and tears of the dust jacket. The block is mostly clean, there are traces of putty on the title page.
