Gift inscription from the author to F B Adams to the title page. 'F B A from J T W'. The work is in an envelope with the recipients address written by the author. Loosely inserted is John T Winterich's obituary.This book has been preserved in a custom chemise, commissioned by the former owner Frederick Baldwin Adams Jr. Baldwin Adams Jr was an American bibliophile and the director of the Pierpont Morgan Library in New York from 1948-1969. With his bookplate to the verso of front endpaper, 'Frederick Baldwin Adams Jr'. An anecdotal work, regarding the author's Aunt Bertha who was born in the mid nineteenth century. In the original paper wraps. Externally, fine. Internally, firmly bound. Author's inscription to the title page. Pages are bright and clean. Fine
