The book measures 218mm tall x 141mm, and has 212 pages, 30 b/w photos. Rescue of Corti from the Eigerwand in 1957, the deaths of the others on the climb. Much conflict regarding the climb, mainly relating to Corti. This story reads like a good suspense novel evoking empathy, horror, frustration, and perhaps anger. Exciting, fast-paced true but unhappy (excepting the magnificent collective rescue effort) story. CONDITION: Original black cloth, silver lettering spine.
