SIGNED BY "IONICUS" (JOSHUA ARMITAGE) AND CONTAINS A SIGNED ORIGINAL ILLUSTRATION FROM THE BOOK - A very good 1977 1st Thus hardcover with no dustjacket as issued, in bright glossy illustrated boards with sharp lightly rubbed corners. The laminate is lifting in both gutters and the spine is slightly rubbed to the end. Signed 'To Eveline, With Best Wishes for Your Birthday, October 1977, from JOS Armitage (Ionicus)' in grey ink on the front pastedown. Laid into the book is a home-made birthday card framing an original 5"x3" pen and ink, velum-protected, signed original illustration from the book, with the position written in pencil on the bottom (Illustration A Chapter 1).
