About This Item
Volume 1: Leather bound with raised bands and black and gilt paste on panels. Binding is firm. Brown leather boards are very worn, scuffed and soiled. Front board is detached. Marble endpapers. Front free endpaper is adherent to subsequent page. Writing and owners name on pages preceding frontispiece. Text block is aged, foxed and has some blue spots on fore edge and a water stain extending up about 1/2 inch along lower edge. Text itself is age tanned and mottled but appears unmarked.
Volume II: Leather bound, cover as shown with this listing is scuffed and worn. Marbled endpapers, however the front and back free endpaper is missing (see pics). Binding is intact but loose in places. Text is tanned and foxed.
