La Civilta della Sardegna, Dall'Eneolitico alla fine dell'eta' nuragica il millennio -- V secolo A.C., Italy: Liberia Scientifica Internazionale, 1982.Large, heavy folio, reprints the 1954 first edition, pp. 389, white cloth boards stamped with black lettering on the spine and front, extensive halftone illustration. The author is the Paris gallerist best known for his massive Picasso catalogue. His focus here is Sardinia's ancient artifacts and architecture, including sculpture of all sorts and military fortifications. All text in Italian. Little else of scholarly use has been written on this civilization, and this particular book is scarce. OCLC locates only one copy in France and two in Italy. Condition: Spine cocked, edges soiled, boards bumped, dust jacket very good, interior very good. Size: Large Folio (bigger than A3). Text is in Italian. Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting. Binding is tight, covers and spine fully intact. Edges greyed with dust marks. Quantity Available: 1.
