Boston: Little, Brown and Company, 1955. Character-soiled end papers, else textblock is clean and tight. Faint smudging on top page edges. Binding has sunned spine and edges, bumped head and foot of spine and less so to the corners, some fraying to the top and bottom edges; Old moisture stain on bottom third of rear board, extending across the bottom margin of the spine and to the front board; The jacket is similarly stained along the underside; Sunned dust jacket, lightly character-soiled, chipped head and foot of spine, wear to the edges, small chips to corners, mylar sleeved. 454p., including sources and index.. First Edition. Cloth. Good+/Good (in mylar). 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Hardcover.
