St. Louis: [Missouri Pacific] 1884. One sheet 27.5 x 42 cm folded into a four panel brochure 27.5 x 21 cm. Last page is Map of the South-Western Railway System Missouri Pacific Mo. Kansas & Texas, Cent. Branch U.P.R.R. St. Louis, Iron Mountain & Southern Int. & Great Northern and Texas and Pacific Railways, by Poole Bros., Chicago. Map is missing one small piece from the upper right corner and has glue marks. It has been folded and has one small fold tear. The circular is completely separated at the vertical fold. Good.

Instructions to ticket agents on writing tickets for passengers heading to Texas and Mexico as a result of the publicity of Famous Winter Resorts of Texas and Mexico. Dated January 1, 1884. Inside, depending on the destination, various possible railroad lines are listed for ticketing. The destinations are: Houston, Galveston, Austin, San Antonio and Monterrey, Mexico. Notes tickets for Saltillo, Mexico are also desired. Some trips are "return" from those cities and some include the "Grand Tour." A rare and unusual item on attracting winter tourists to Texas in 1884.Reviews
