About This Item
New York: Simon and Schuster, 1961. First Edition. First Edition. Basis for the 1966 heist film "Arabesque," directed by Stanley Donen and starring Gregory Peck and Sophia Loren. Laid in is a contemporary Doubleday Bookshop card and response card, specific to the old Doubleday shop that was located on 655 Fifth Avenue in the mid-century. An exceptional copy of an extremely scarce title.
About Near Fine in a bright, Near Fine, price-clipped dust jacket. Brief sunning to the bottom edge of the front board, a small ding at the top of the outer rear hinge of the board. Jacket has a few faint impressions on the front panel, and the remnant of where someone one wrote the number "37" in pencil at the top right corner of the rear panel. See images.
