Charles Scribner's Sons, 1970. First Edition . Cloth. Fine/Near Very Good. 4to - over 9¾ - 12" tall. (1st, P-1.70[V]) Brown cloth, blue with embossed title and illustration of knights on front, Christian centuries with illustrations inside covers and adjacent end papers from First to 20th Century, over 200 illustrations throughout. DJ has brown background with white illustration on darker brown at center front and spine, white back browned and soiled with a list of book titles, 222 lightly browned pages. DJ has very slight wear to spine bottom, microtear at bottom back edge near tip. Near Very Good DJ/Very Fine book.
