London: Thomas Nelson and sons, no date [1913]. First edition (hardback). 8vo (26cm by 20cm), 320pp. Illustrated throughout, including many full-page illustrations in colour. Original red cloth spine, printed boards, with colour illustration to the front board. Boards somewhat rubbed, some staining of the rear board, foxing to the edges of the text block, and several illustrations have been coloured in. Overall, this copy is in good minus condition. There is a gift inscription to the front free endpaper, dated 1913, which is consistent with COPAC, which also gives a date of 1913. This was the first issue of this annual, which continued to be published every year until 1939.
