Per Donald Armstron Ross, p.97, this Everyman's Library edition is a presentation of "The important contemporary tracts and narratives, annotated, on the founding of New England in America." With an introduction by John Masefield. Everyman's Library catalog no. 480 in their History series, edited by Ernest Rhys. --- In 'Shield Era' curved back binding style 2, full scarlet ribbed cloth-covered boards with gilt-stamped Reginald Knowles-designed spine titling & decorations, blindstamped J. M. Dent vignette to front cover, with black topstain and fancy Knowles woodcut art at title page, frontis and endpapers. Volume lacks the dust jacket. --- A generally well-preserved copy: clean, tightly-bound and lacking markings, though with prior owner's signature to front free endpaper.; 16mo (6 to 7 in. tall); xvii, 364 pages .
